I've been a member of NCHGA for 4 years. I'm also a member of Davis Dog Training Club for more years than I can remember. I've had Australian Shepherds for 29 years. Though in the beginning, while they were loyal, loving, well behaved members of our family, I was too busy raising four boys for any other activity (and probably too tired!). I've been actively involved in herding, obedience, agility, conformation and Rally for the past 16 years (not necessarily all at the same time!).
I also own and operate a very busy pet sitting service in Davis, CA. In trying to think of hobbies or other activities, aside from the sport of dogs, I was hard pressed to come up with anything not involving my Aussies or someone else's pets. Other than getting a good night's sleep, I do enjoy listening to audio books during my various trips to shows and herding events.
